This week one of our London Design teams brought Christmas to a private residence in Park Lane. Prestigious residential designs have boomed this year for PHS Greenleaf including interior planting, fresh flowers and of course festive pre-decorated Christmas trees.

Christmas has well and truly arrived at Great Ormond Street Hospital this year thanks to our dedicated new sales executive Neil Saunders. At such a busy time for PHS Greenleaf Neil even assisted with the deliveries at Birmingham. Since the hospitals formation in 1852, the hospital has been dedicated to children’s healthcare and to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses. Each year there are over 192,000 patient visits to the hospital. A fantastic display was created by our Greenleaf team which looks to have been enjoyed already by the patients at this wonderful hospital.

Trust me, I’m not making this up.  As you know we employ a team of Christmas tree designers and fixers at our Christmas head office in the Midlands, who are responsible all year around for putting Christmas tree designs and ideas together for us.  Well in September it starts to get really busy with the build up to Christmas which means we often take on extra staff to help us out for the season.

This year one of our new ladies is the most aptly named person we could possibly find – I’d like to say a warm welcome to Santa!  Yes, that’s really her name – unfortunately I am unable to print her picture on my blog as she’s a little shy so we’ve agreed not to.  But how cool is that having a name like Santa at Christmas? 

Just had some Christmas installation pictures in from our Northern team, which I thought you might like to see. 

It’s at the Elephant Yard Shopping Centre in Keswick, where we’ve installed Christmas decorations for years. 

Our Greenleaf  team installed a selection of suspended curtain lights which you can see from the picture, along with some lovely interior and exterior lights.  Also complimenting the theme throughout the Centre is a collection of pre-lit Christmas trees as well as other hanging decorations and lights.

I have to say the Elephant Yard Centre  looks fab and is well worth a visit this Christmas. 

An early delivery of this year’s Christmas Trees has arrived in Ammanford to ensure everyone gets into the spirit of things. The team say it already looks like a Santa’s Grotto in the office.

Apparantly they’ve gone down a treat with the other tele-appointing teams too…who are already picking their favourite for around the site in December.

Last week Marketing were busy doing the Christmas shoot for next years brochure at the Britannia Royal Court Hotel in Coventry www.britanniaroyalcourthotel.co.uk. It was Kate’s (our new Marketing Exec) first shoot for the division and it looks like some good shots were taken.

I caught up with Kate after the two days: “I really enjoyed myself on the shoot, even if it does seem a bit strange to be talking about Christmas so soon. We managed to get lots of varied photos with all the new pre-decorated christmas trees and i’m amazed in the amount of work that goes into the trees looking just so!”

It struck me the other day that our technicians install some fabulous Christmas trees and accessories but we don’t get to see them.  So I came up with the idea of having a Christmas Wall whereby Greenleaf technicians can send me their photos of our trees and I’ll put them online for everyone else to see.

Here’s the first one, sent in by Marc Davies.  This job was installed over a weekend and I must say it looks fabulous.  Well done to the installation team who worked really hard on this project and to Marc for sharing his photos with us.

Every year our Christmas design staff travel to far flung destinations to discover new decorations and ideas to make your Christmas tree hire special.  This year we introduced a couple of new trees to our range, which we think you’re going to love. So, allow me to introduce you to the first of our new Christmas stars!  Lime Light.

Well, here we go again.  Can you believe it, Christmas is just around the corner – less than 100 days to go in fact – and we’ve already geared ourselves up to start delivering corporate Christmas trees to our customers. 

I’m also pleased to report that our Christmas production team have worked really hard throughout the year and our stockroom is  full of  catalogue Christmas trees.  They’re now working on the bespoke orders and special requests. 

On the news front, we’ve added three new exciting trees to our range – including the Limelight, Snowy White and opulent Arabian Nights Christmas trees. In addition, we have a new ultra slim line pencil tree, hanging wall decorations and new desktop trees.  Have a look at them, we think you’re going to be hard pressed to pick just one tree style for your premises this year!

Sam meets her hero

It’s not every day you get to meet your idol so Sam Potts our Christmas sales manager was over the moon when she finally got to meet hers recently, the  chef and TV personality Jamie Oliver. 

Lucky for Sam and the team, Jamie was filming a new Christmas advert for Sainsbury’s recently and  Greenleaf were  installing the Christmas decorations for the set.  Sam took the opportunity to say hello to Jamie and have her photo taken. 

Sam tells me Jamie was really friendly and more than happy to pose for photographs and sign autographs for them. 

So keep an eye out for the advert and you should catch a glimpse of our decorations in the background!
